NASA Cargo Transfer Bags
Cargo Transfer Bags (CTBs) are the primary containers used by NASA to send cargo to the International Space Station. After the ISS Program approves a flight manifest, hardware providers send their hardware to be processed for flight. Cargo launch and return requirements are defined by the hardware owners and these are used to pack the cargo for flight. As a manufacturer of cargo bags, VTL can produce different sizes to support a wide variety of hardware and also allow for the best use of the available volume and mass in the various vehicles going to ISS.
Cargo transfer bags are manufactured to withstand launch, on-orbit and return operations for a number of flight cycles. VTL manufactures all cargo bags with a focus on materials and methods of construction to provide the most efficient and cost effective product to NASA.
